Daniel Ashby

Bachelor of Divinity, Diploma in Ministry Studies

I first attended the Irish Baptist College when I was nineteen after completing a GAP year with the Open Air Mission in England. I felt God was calling me to serve Him before I left school and knew I needed to spend some time training and studying God’s Word more in depth. When I came to see the Irish Baptist College I was sure straight away it was the place for me!

I spent 3 years there full time completing my Bachelor of Divinity degree and a Diploma in Ministry studies. During that time I made many lasting friendships and was constantly challenged by the college teams, classes and assignments which made up so much of student life. Since finishing studying full time I came to Great Vic as a part time Community Outreach Worker which enabled me to pursue further study with the college alongside my ministry. I am just finishing a Masters in Theology and have had a great tutor in Peter Firth. During these two years much use has been made of the college library in which many hours were spent reading through a lot of books and commentaries!

If you are looking for a close-knit community of students in which to learn more about God’s Word and prepare to serve Him, I would encourage you to check out IBC!
